Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) is a talking therapy that helps people to make sense of why they feel the way they do and change unhelpful patterns in which they may have become stuck. It is based on the idea that our early life experiences influence the way we relate to other people and how we treat ourselves. It focuses on identifying recurring issues such as: low mood or self-esteem, anxiety, or other issues and works by learning to recognise and change unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving.
